Welcome to the DASS 2026-2027 School Year!

Good Afternoon DASS Students and Parents/Guardians,

On behalf of our Admin team here at DASS, we hope your summer has been amazing and that you have been able to enjoy the warm, sunny days with family and friends! We would like to extend a warm welcome to all our students as we begin the 2026-2027 school year. To our returning students, welcome back, and to those joining us for the first , we are excited to have you with us. We wish everyone a successful and rewarding year ahead.

I am proud and excited to be starting my second year as your Principal this school year along with our two Vice-Principals, Mr. Andrew Lue (Oshawa) and Mr. Anthony Phelan (Pickering). Our dedicated staff has been busy preparing for another wonderful year of learning and success. At DASS, we believe that every student benefits from being a part of a caring and inclusive community, and we are committed to providing a safe, supportive, patient, and flexible environment where all students can reach their full potential and feel a true sense of belonging.

As we get ready to start next week, here are some items to share for the beginning of the school year;

Registration and Consulation Appointments

They are happening now! If you are a DDSB student, please connect with your home school administration to make a referral. Once the referral has been submitted, please call our main offices now; Oshawa-905-579-1990 and/or Pickering 905-839-2913 to set up an appointment. If you are a student outside of DDSB, please refer to our main school website and click on DASS Student Enrollment for further direction. 

First Day of School

Our first day of school begins on Thursday, September 10, 2026. We run 4 sessions per school year and our first session runs from Thursday, September 10th to Tuesday, November 10th. 

Class Times

Classes start at 10:00am for both Oshawa and Pickering sites. Lunch will be available at 12:30pm. Oshawa location has a 20 min lunch break from 12:30pm to 12:50pm. Oshawa school ends at 2:05pm. Pickering school ends at 1:45pm.
